Write a profile! It may seem silly, but when I see an open invite and
that player has not written a profile, it makes me less interested in
playing that person. Part of what makes this site great is getting to
know the people you're playing against as more than just anonymous
folks moving the pieces. Even if it's just a sentence or two, tell
everyone something about yourself.

I agree. I've had some great conversations druing games, almost
invariably due to domething written in my opponent's profile. Writing
a profile adds a human diimension to correspondence chess and
contributes to the sense of community that sets RHP apart from other
chess sites.

I agree with all you say - maybe I'll come up with a way of pushing
profiles.

How about this: "Write a profile, and get Pawn Star benefits the first
month FREE!"

It could be great if we were able to put a picture in the profile!

This would be very amusing, but very open to abuse. We could get
ourselves in all kinds of trouble if inappropriate pictures were posted.
It seems a shame, but that is the way the web is.

As a pawnstar only feature, it would be possible.

In the forums it says that the post has to be cheked first. If this was
to happen with photos and you were not aloud to get any photo on
without them being checked then it would work.

Good point Jacko, but I'm sure this would be practically impossible. If
I were Russ and Chris I wouldn't like sifting through 25000+ photos to
check out any dodgy ones...oh, wait, hang on a second, maybe I'd
love that... hey, guys, you need someone to do this for you? let me
know!
