Personally, I don't care how old my opponent is... but I'm 34 and I've got 3 nephews and a niece and I would not be pleased with them being on an evironment like this without supervision.
Most kids today are pretty street-smart and can sniff out strange behaviour, but what about the ones that can't? As much as it sucks (and I know it does) the rules are there to protect that small percentage of people who don't know enough to protect themselves.
It may not feel good, but sometimes things just have to be the way they are.....
And in case you're thinking "that's easy for YOU to say", keep in mind everyone faces the same fears. I go for walks through my local park three days a week and almost every time I come across women who steer their kids to the other side of the park when they realize I'm an adult male walking alone....
