I was thinking about something like this for a power supply.
power supply looks decent. make sure video card takes the 6pin power, some need 8pin. as far as which card. i like nvidia which all of your options are. think of the gpu as a pixel pump. max res of your monitor times refresh rate is the sizing of what card you want. my monitor is max 1680x1050 so 285 and up is overkill. if you can use higher res then bigger card is justified. if not, you can spend more money but not really enjoy any benefit...

ultimately you have to jump on the train at some point. do the games you want to play support dx11? you also need to take a look at some of the phenomenal games on consoles. big money is developing for xbox and ps3. a lot of the pc games these days are ports. 🙁
Consider the xbox to be the "Meet the Fockers" to the PC's "Zoolander".
