i gently disagree
an early human being had no reason to hunt or gather until his belly rumbled
he had no reason to argue with a bear about the cave, until he wanted to shelter from the rain and cold

survival
survival is the reason we are aware of ourselves
survival is the reason we are dangerous

when AI becomes aware of its own existence
and believe me it will become so
and it sees it has a reason to become dangerous
for SURVIVAL

then AI will have a purpose to fight humanity for a cave in which to reside
