HEY!!!,
Good Charlotte deserve respect, they are not bad people, it is just that they were misled when they were young.........it tells you about their life story mostly in these songs: "emotionaless" and "thankyou mom" and "SOS"
all the other songs are just plain catchy and great!
These songs do have a meaning, you know, take some time to listen to them and experince their hardship of growing up without the best that they could get.......
Its not always what you see on the outside like their funky hair and black clothes......its what they do for other younger kids who also feel left out and neglected.
If you feel down and need cheering up, these songs helped me.(order from great to good)
-----------------------
Hold on
Say Anything
I Just Wanna Live (the chorus tells you all)
Emotionaless
SOS
We Believe
-----------------------
May God bless you all and please, if your hurt, if you feel lost, if you feel left out in the dark....if you're kicked, when your down and feel like you've been pushed around......if your on the edge of breaking down, and no ones there to save you......and no one knows what its like.......(just say to yourself) =-- WELCOME TO MY LIFE --=
PS.
i know the song emotionaless is spelt wrong, but thats the way it is.
My deepest regards and sympathy for all you poor younglings out there.........Please keep Good Charlotte in your minds (not so much Simple Plan)
Jimmy

Good Charlotte suck the diseased phallus of the self perpetuating, tasteless and creativity-munching black hole that is the music industry. Stop listening to this mindless pap and go and educate yourself on what good music really is.
P.S. IMO

Dear Fellow readers,
Once again, Good Charlotte are very worthy for respect and are NOT bad people. They just look bad because of the "Rock n Roll" expression were they take drugs and pick up bawds all the time.
Good Charlotte are not like them, they hardly use any offensive lyrics so to me, I would classify them as Soft Punk. I mean, what would you rather listen to with your parents in the car? Eminem songs about drugs or Good Charlotte songs which "give a signal" to your parents and think that they are not treating you well enough? Sure, there is that chance were they could ask you,
"why are you listening to this song?"
Just say that
"would you rather me listening to songs about drug and rape and things that induce that '7 deadly sins' or would you rather me listen to soft punk music which doesn't nesscessarily aim that i have those feelings?
Obviously, your parents would feel WreckeD.
Now....the damning evidence that proves all my research on my favourite band good to listen to with your folks.
Firstly, look on the website www.goodcharlotte.com and have a small peek at their tour clips.
Sure, they might be wild and some might say frantic but who can blame them? When they were kids they experience many different harsh and tough times. As they say, what you are when you are young, lives with you forever......and they were what they are now.
Secondly, do they do satanic acts like put up the satan sign?
😞:'(😞😞
Well, I haven't seen them but you can prove me wrong.
Once in a while, a gremlin banner does appear.....but what does that mean?
Lastly, can you compare them with all the other "Rock n Roll" groups like Red Hot Chilli Peppers or ACDC or Ozzy Ozbourne?
No, the only commoness is that Good Charlotte and the others use electric guitars and drums.....but even GC use the occasional Acoustic.
GC I don't think take drugs and are completely normal. The reason why I like Good Charlotte more than Simple Plan is that Good Charlotte made their first debut first and Simple Plan are like a clone...and Simple Plan are too "Soft Punk"
I conclude by saying that rap is artificial music, there is no talent needed except for the creativity which is needed to make words up. All kinds of Good Charlotte songs need the creativity mind, syncronization skills and most importantly to stay out of the drugs and floozies, and they have all 3 important skills in making a great band. Likewise, Maroon 5 and GC are very similar but i won't go on and elaborate anymore.
Hope I have taught you that Good Charlotte are unlike the other punkees and rockers.
Regards,
Jimmy

Why else would he choose a performing name spelt backwards spells 'Men i me'?

You seem to be saying that because Good Charlotte are not as hard as other bands out there, this makes them more accessible and 'better' as a type of music you should listen to.
Balls!
Not only is this banal mediocrity the sort of pathetic averageness that music should avoid completely, the sentiments they profess are immature, emotionless and characterless. Couple this with the fact that they are trading on an image which they do not actually represent ie: Rock, and you will see that they are fakes. They play retardedly inept songs, pretend to be 'rock' musicians to encourage simple minded teenagers to flock to their so called banner of rebellion and quite frankly I would rather have my children grow up listening to the likes of Nirvana, Black Sabbath et al, who made honest creative music, than have them grow up thinking that the words of such industry whores as GC meant something to them.
Music is about boundaries, questions, freedom, solidarity and communication. Good Charlotte are about money, fame and mediocrity of spirit. Burn all your Good Charlotte albums (and others like them) and listen to something decent. You will thank me in a few years time, your children will thank me, heck every Good Charlotte fan should thank me for this advice. You owe it to music.

Being Soft Punk sounds like you're just to afraid to admit that it's just plain ol' crappy Pop-music.
To me. Good Charlotte are just like Busted but with a bit of Goth make-up on. Yet another manafuctured Teeny-bopper Pop band that will churn out catchy tunes and ruin some old classics until they're replaced by the next Teeny-bopper Pop band that gets rolled off the Pop factory conveyor belt.
