Side note: the worst beatdown I ever got was in South Phoenix from a couple of big-ass crackheads. Cracked a few ribs and had to wrap them and ice them for a couple of months. Almost ended up addicted to vicodin over that little adventure.

Funny thing is, I get called 'dude' a lot, mostly by younger women. Younger women, especially the lesser educated for some reason, and, strangely enough, lesbians, call each other and other women 'dude' all the time. I guess I'm just barely old enough now to find that weird. Men almost never call me 'dude', and among those who do, they're usually boys, who then always say, "oh, sorry".
