I looked up the filmography of Clint Eastwood. He’s directed, produced or acted in a film every 1-2 years since 1955 with the longest break being 5 years from 1958. Quite a contribution to the film industry!

I think these actors - and I can name a few more.. - have been able to choose roles suitable for both their age and looks, which usually is easier for male actors than female. The female actors need to keep their good looks despite their age, whereas the men don't have to.
