Just coming down after a hard fought contest that went right down to the wire. Red Hot Ted was right beside me jumping up and down giving me his support. I do feel a bit sorry for my opponent in this epic battle but all's fair in love and war so they say...
What's that? Tell us the game number so that we can all have a look ... oh well, didn't I say? This battle wasn't on RHP it took place on ebay... I was left in charge of bidding for a bikini (for my wife of course 😉 ).. anyway there was only one other bidder and they were determined to get it. But Rhymester and Ted won through in the end. I waited until there was less than 15 seconds to go to register my final bid .. risky tactic but it worked and I'll be in good books for the rest of the weekend!

I use that tactic all the time on ebay, and it really works well most of the time. When there's something I really seriously want I usually don't bid at all until the final seconds, and then I enter my maximum bid. I usually take it for less than the max. but I use my maximum since I'm only going to get one shot at it because of the time.
You just have to be careful that you don't cut it too close on the time!
