I remember being in a bar down in Killarney for an amateur snooker tournament and Alex walked in and the whole room goes quiet. Some guy was playing a piano so Alex starts playing random keys and its a funny atmosphere. Anyway some wag starts a sing-song with that tune with the line "Living next door to Alex" and everyone starts laughing and the mood lightens. I have never seen anyone with such intensity and electricity and this was only a few years ago. It must have been something to be on the receiving end on a snooker table and all the crowd behind him like at Wembley. RIP Alex.
