As of 15:27 GMT there are 437295 games on this site. It will be only a few weeks until the magical 500000. I'd say congratulations, though early, are in order.
However, ther is one weird thing: the game history starts at game id 10000 (I don't know exactly. There isn't a game 10001, but 10000 is the earliest I could find). Anyone know whether the first 9999 games weren't played, or are they just removed from the database? Otherwise we would have to count to 510000 before we can open the champagne. :-)

I remember looking at games with ID's under the ten, maybe they are removed now, but I'm pretty sure I've seen them. I think they were for testing, as some of the positions on the board were not possible... 🙂

Well, there is but a few hundred to go. This weekend this site will cross the big 5-0-0-0-0-0 🙂. Unfortunately, I'm off to my parents' over the weekend, so I'll not be here for the celebrations. 🙁
