A recent power cut caused 130GB of my data (and 8 months work) to dissapear overnight... There were two of us on the project, I'd backed up 40% of it, the other had done 6%.....

damn....

Man, that has got to hurt. Losing data makes me feel sick - but 8 months worth??? 🙄

How on earth did you go 8 months without a full backup?

That's what happens when responsibility is "distributed" - We had done a full backup a few months back and then I gave the backing up job to the other person after that. Seems as though they weren't quick enough - The project took 8 months to run, we have about 3 months worth of data left right now....

What happened, often you can get it back, even when you formatted your hard-disk it is still possible for example!
