I was on a.cruise and we left and went through hurricane Ike which was pretty rough. Then we were stuck because The Galveston port, our car and everything was underwater and no one would let us dock for seven or eight days. Finally we docked and had to pay our own air fare to get back to Texas, so we have the same luck.

Yes, never saw it again. I was also supposed to be starting a new job which I was a week and a half late on starting. If it wasn’t for bad luck……

My own sister saw 4 feet of water in her house in Louisiana in a hurricane in the 1950's. Something we never want to see again.

The man sitting third on the right is said to be a Swede - they were all immigrants.
