two things-firstly, is there an animated link to RHP/TfC etc that people can put on their websites? and secondly-why is there a thing to the right of the board telling you the number of hlaf moves since the last capture or pawn move? capture, o.k.-but pawn move? and in the same counter thingy?!?...πŸ˜›

the number fo moves since last pawn move or capture is important because of stale mate rules. I guess because if no pieces are being taken & no pawns are advancing the gae isn't progressing there is a stale mate rule that if X number of moves go by without either a piece being taken or a pawn moving then it's called a draw. I can't remember what X is though...

150 moves without the move of a pawn is a draw.

Ohw...πŸ˜• Well maybe your right...doesn't matter eitherway...if you can't win a game within 150 moves...or you and your opponent are identical twins...or you both use the same computerprogramπŸ™‚

What if white mates at move 51...wouldn't it be a bit unfair if it was declared draw?

I have been asked for this a number times, and I would like to create some as they would generate more interest in the site. Just a matter of time finding the time to do them, I'm afraid.

I have just made a note in my notebook though - so they are very much on the 'to do' list.
