Eighteen police officers have been placed under investigation. Nine of them have been suspended.

The police are, in some respects, just another tribe in Indonesia. The airforce and the army are tribes too. They fight with each other over things like the nightclubs they control etc. The police looking up into stadiums containing the trash elements in a football crowd are just one tribe looking at another tribe, itching, to varying degrees, for a fight. And when they do, there's nothing Queensberry about it.
