my worst nightmare. They've finally done it. They've pushed that button. At 10am this morningthey banned RHP at work!!!
What am I going to do? I tried to stick it out but it was a mysery. To make things worse, I was still getting 'your opponent has moved' e-mails to my work address yet I couldn't see what they'd done. And I couldn't get into the site to turn them off. :'(
I lasted until 5pm when my boss phoned me from the States and I threw myself on his mercy. I explained why RHP was necessary for me. I explained why visiting RHP at work was beneficial to my productivity (it's amazing how desparation can invigorate the imaginative parts of the mind). I tried hard to keep the pleading out of my voice but I have limits.
Amazingly he agreed that I had a point and he'd see what he could do. He's going to speak to the HR manager and try to get RHP unbanned. Of course this runs the risk of the HR manager reveiling that I make several hundred clicks on RHP every day but it's a risk I have to take. If it doesn't work I really think it'll make my job unbearable. However, if it does I'll be available for hire to talk to anyone elses boss on their behalf at a very reasonable rate (like 10 rating points and 3 recs 😉 )
