Just probing out there to see if there is any interest in another RHP Prose competition as its coming up to that time in the year when i usually "try" to run one. (i'll post this in the culture forum too)
Its been a regular competition on these forums since its creation and you can have a look at entries from the last four years (when ive had the fun of organising it)
If you are interested or have any queries please send me a PM - its always great getting new writers and old writers on board - i usually try to get a dozen pieces up.
More specifics will come up closer to the kick off of the competition as i'm aware a lot of the previous writers have disappeared and interest might not be that high

My first try was in 2014, and I got in a tie for 7th. And then I skipped last year. I find the hardest part is figuring what you want to write about. After that, it just kinda writes itself. Of course, in order to 'do the crime', you have to put in the time. 🙂

I'm guessing that so far, this is just to see if there's interest in the project, and so helping SS decide if it's worthwhile to put in the time and effort necessary. I suppose that the actual competition won't begin until Jan or Feb (and thus, actually be IN 2016), and we'll get the whole "invitation for submissions" entry post at that time explaining all the rules.
(Some who wish to get a head start can certainly start throwing ideas around their cranium as to a topic and plot. Usually, these competitions have limited entries to 750 words. Whether that will be the case remains to be seen, but it's a good bet.)

That's the spirit. 😀 It may be a western theme and you came incorporate "giddyup" into it.

I'll write about anything, with the obvious exception of aubergines.
If the competition has a compulsory aubergine section, i'm out.
