Just the ones too young to remember standing at a stove to make popcorn, black and white televisions (and using a hanger to make the picture better), dialing a telephone, getting up to change the channel on the TV to one of the other 3 channels, when the men at the gas station would wash your windows and check your oil -- dark ages stuff like that.

That's when I watched football -- starting in 1975 in college when Lynn Swann was playing, until the beginning of 1994. I moved that summer -- it's a long story -- and didn't see any football again until I moved here to Packer Country in 2002.

You don't remember the ice bowl then? Cowboys vs Green Bay. Green Bay has a great history. It is struggling now though. Bret Farve shouldn't have much more in his tank. Great football town. You live in Wisconsin now? I used to work in Racine for a while.

I live in a speed trap. The only people who've heard of it have gotten a ticket there!

🙂 No, a speed trap in Wisconsin. The speed limit is 25 just to torture people. The north/south street (which has all 4 of the city's stop lights) is also a highway, so when people are bebopping their way along and get to town, they get a ticket.

So you telling me you don't have a license. 😉 Well, I had fun there because I always had my Cowboys banner up. You can imagine the dust that kicked up.

I always have a lone student in my class who is a Vikings fan. Poor thing. I get nervous when I drive because the only ticket I've ever had is a parking ticket -- I was just not given the gift of parallel parking! I'm short, so I can't see how far I am from the curb, but it's usually too far.

Did I tell you about our population and the missing 700?

GB Vikings is quite a rivalry. That's a funny story. I hope you told that to the Judge. I had a girl friend once that had the same problem. She drove a VW. Every day the guys would go out and pick her car up and move it for her with her in it. Somehow it seemed more fun that way. I haven't heard about the missing 700 yet.
