I am new to this so any tips will be of great help, thank you 🙂
It is illegal to distill alcohol without a licence.

Here in Ireland we brew our potato skins to make mind-blowing hooch. It's illegal, but all the better when you can get the good stuff.
Hooray!
You can make wine from tonnes of stuff, too. It's pretty easy.
He hadn't bargained for our drinking it afterwards 😵

A priest was visiting England one day when he is stopped by the customs, who proceed to open his bags and pull out a suspicious looking unlabelled bottle. "Hello, what's this?" says the customs man.
"Sure, it's holy water from Knock", says the priest. The customs guy opens the bottle and takes a sniff, then a tiny sip. "Father, this is not holy water but poteen!". To which the priest replies "Jesus, it's a miracle!".
Anyway, at the moment I have 24 bottles of white wine I made from a grape juice concentrate, 4 gallons of blackberry wine bubbling away and one gallon of raisin wine. I'm going to pick elderberries at the weekend. If you use natural (free!) ingredients you can get wine for as little as 15p a bottle!

The elderberries make a lovely sweet red. The elderflowers make a tangy-sweet white. Good advice! Pick the berries- if you live near where they grow (and they grow everywhere in Ireland, and, I assume, England too...in Leitrim they're called "Boortree bushes"...and here in Dublin there are two which implanted themselves in my garden, and took over completely).
Cheers!
