I keep coming back to this post to check. Looks like you are the only one.

Congrats in advance on your impending victory...

Try not to overextend yourself in the final click, remember the famous saying by Satchel Paige "never look over your shoulder, you never know who may be gaining on you" :=)

What will become of the second, third and subsequent place honors?

yep, looks like i'm the only one suffering at the end of the month... though i fear, sir, that you flatter me with your prediction of my placing. i will be content to finish with all limbs unbroken and all valves unruptured.

do i take it from this lack of response that all RHPers are a bunch of couch-potatoes? i would have thought that such a well-balanced bunch would have been healthy in body as well as mind and spirit đŸ˜€

I'll be there at the finish line for you (in spirit anyway).

Best of luck Ed.

well i did it. came in under the hour too, though i won't get the official time till tomorrow - i'll let all of you know then what it was, i can tell you can't wait to find out.

10K and a masters degree all in one month - my slacker status is well and truly defunct now...

well done :o)

I ran in a local XC league race at the weekend over a similar distance, but did a Paula and pulled out near the end (although not sure it counts as being sooo bad as it was not on telly)
