I have spare invitations to sign up for gmail, the new free service Google puts out. You get a Gigabyte of mail space. Send me your regular email address.

Just go to www.walla.com .... same 1 GB of space and no invitation needed.

I looked at beta-Gmail a few months ago - didn't think you'd need an invitation to join, just signup like hotmail?

I presume you get an invite by putting your current email address in the 'keep me posted' form on Gmail?

As their stated intent is along the lines of 'make all info available to everyone' then the invite thing will not last for long, the site is beta, when it goes 'live' I reckon no invite will be needed, it will be open to all.

With 250mb free in hotmail I am not sure what all the fuss is about anyway, but it is nice to have a free market I must admit 🙂

Nice interface, free POP3, less spam...

Not saying it's the be-all and end-all of webmail (well, web or pop3), but it's certainly a lot better than hotmail.
