AOL sucks. I was going to dl it, but it recommended that I hit myself in the balls.

Yes, I ripped off Lisa Lampenelli.

I don't think it's available any more - why not try bowmann's favourite? VLC.

Edit; I posted that before I'd seen the previous one.

Well, when i'm watching video on the aol website, music.aol.com

Some of the videos free at the end and this microsoft error report comes on. It says sent error report so I do and then it gives you a page which has a download to fix the problem.

The download has a missing file so It cannot be used. I tried 2 different sites from microsoft to download it from but both don't work. So i though that if I get an aol player it might not do that.

I tried using windows media player but when you go to media guide and click on a song/video they are mostly aol ones and it opens up into an aol player.

maybe they changed the name of winamp into aol media player after winamp 5?

but you'd really be better off without anything aol-related. they have already turned many perfectly good softwareproducts into a pile of useless crap, like netscape, winamp, icq...

the old winamp was far better, meaning versions up to 2.9x. -at 3.0 aol took it over and instantly ruined it. it's almost impressive how good they are at ruining things.

I went there, clicked some video, and it opened an embedded flash-player. maybe your problem is with flash?

And did you do what they recommended?

"To work around this problem temporarily, clear the Internet Explorer local browser cache."

I went straight to the download thing.

How do you clear that cache?

Open internet go to tools->internet options then?

Or is there a different way?

The video's work fine. But at the very ending when it is shutting down the video or starting the next one, that message pops up.

It's not for all the videos. Maybe every 2/5 it pops up.

...General tab/Delete files.

Another way is to get a program like crap cleaner [freeware] and let it do it all for you.

http://www.ccleaner.com/

If you use this, you may want to uncheck the box for cookies on the left first, or you'll have to re-sign in everywhere you go again.

M$ are stupid - any time something goes wrong, I get a message from them telling me to upgrade Firefox when I already have the latest version.

Alright, I'll see if that worked now.
