i had a nice group of pot plants - i live in a flat - and my herbs were coming alomg just fine ...
then the aphids came ...
they almost all seem to be a mess - except the mint - the mint rocks!
are there other aphid resistant herbs?
my non-edibles also seem to mostly be happy ... especially the bromeliad - it is taking over!

At uni I almost proved a linear correlation between the amount of soluble nitrogen in barley and the breeding performance of the bird cherry oat aphid.
The theory is that if you limit the nitrogen your plants get and you'll have fewer aphids. You'll have no plants either though, so not an ideal solution (I was looking at the application of fertiliser in agriculture).
Otherwise. Rosemary, Marjoram, Lavender (herb?), Thyme.
The general rule of thumb I use in my garden is fleshy juicy tasty herbs will get munched by aphids, the others probably not so much.
You can buy kits of ladybirds or lacewings both of which will defeat the aphids. Thing is they are cyclical, you'll probably find yourself with more ladybirds/lacewings and fewer aphids next summer anyway. My garden shed is full of the lacy ones 🙂

Moving along...nothing to see here...

Are Black ones good guys,
are they the ones with yellow bottoms
Snails - don't discriminate. Get rid of 'em all.
If you can attract toads or hedgehogs to your garden then they will help cull the slugs/snails.
