Am I supposed to dislike the iPad now?
Me, I quite liked the idea behind the iPad, but a few of the design decisions they made put me off, especially when factoring in the price tag. I'm sure it's absolutely awesome for commuters.
As always I'll wait till either Apple works out some of the kinks, or someone rips it off and fixes the design flaws.

Try one at home, sitting in your favourite sofa, and then let me know. Explaining it it's a bit like explaining why a comfy sofa is comfy.
The appeal of the iPad suddenly became a lot clearer.
A decent Android tablet would be preferable for me, but there isn’t much in it. But sorry Steve, a 6" or 7" tablet is a nice size too. Just ask all the Kindle users out there.
Originally posted by CrowleyAlthough initially I thought it was outrageous that they dropped Flash, I do like the pretty solid commitment to HTML 5 by all parties now. (Even Ms giving up on Silverlight) The Blitz client on the site will stop using Flash in the future, but browser support might be a bit sketchy for any new version. All tablet owners will have no problem though.
Interesting. It's funny how they harp on the Flash support :%
Originally posted by CrowleyProbably, but I see it as mostly a home appliance for casual browsing or for longer trips. It's still big enough not to fit in any pocket so you need to carry it around occupying one of your hands (or a backpack). But smaller than it and I'm skeptical that the browsing experience would be half as good. Maybe the Galaxy is better for commuting but I find the small screen ruins the browsing. There is some sort of size threshold where the screen size becomes so small that it becomes annoying.
They aren't all over laps in trains and busses?
Originally posted by RussMan, if you like surfing on an Android phone at home the 9.7'' screen just blows it away. Trust me, it's a huge difference when you can see almost all normal sites without having to resize anything and type with two hands when you need to.

I heard rumours, but the last thing I read was MS saying "SL isn't just for the web" meaning they still planned to walk a road with it.
