Far too many Americans live in their own tiny little world. No one else matters and there is no need to know about the goings-on of the little people - I mean, the rest of the world.
As a group, Americans are stupid and far too easily manipulated. Americans voted Bush back in a second time, even though our resident village idiot screwed up damn near everything he touched. I could almost have given him a pass if he had caught Bin Laden. Almost. I could not be happier for presidential term limits.
You can go down just about any street in the US and interview the same know-nothings. They are everywhere.
Of course, to be fair - I wonder how many British know about their country and its involvement in the world. I'm pretty sure you can find stupid people everywhere.
