The thought did strike me that this is the ideal opportunity to try and improve my game.

So yes I'm playing more but no I'm not making any attempt to get better. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Indeed they are,

At least we have ways to communicate even see each other if we wish.

I don't think we would have had that 30 years or so ago. Just the old telephone.

Technology has come so far just in my time.

Yes, I too remember when a computer filled a whole room now you can hold it in your hand your phone can do it all, texting, facetime or one of the other apps, internet. all in the palm of your hand, providing of course you have big hands....LOL...

I currently work with as many people in the office as I live with - none - so the danger to and from me is the same either way.

I am but only in that instead of moving only in the morning I have been adding another half hour in the evening. Still my game has not improved but that's OK.

Up until last month I was playing OTB chess once a week in my local league.
Of course all that has stopped now.

i have found a renewed interest in my old rubik's cube
the vapid stupidity i used to see in fidgit spinners has mysteriously vanished
those lil doohickeys are COOL
i am now a fan of watching grass grow
paint dry
and attempting to detect which insects are ready for mating just by the buzz they produce

i wonder what rocks taste like?
