The break away in the 5th stage was easier to let go than run down. Why try to defend the jersy when you can take it off a sprinter next week in the mountains.

Anyway doing it like this means the US postal team can let someone else do the work of defending and conserve energy for the mountains.

Do not get too worried LAnce is still going to wear yellow in Paris. 🙂
