In the near future I will be introducing an ‘articles’ section, where I will publish most of the static content on this site, such as Chris’s writing on chess programming, and the rules of chess.
But I want to make it available to anyone to publish stuff. If you would like to write something (chess related) that you believe would be helpful to others or interesting, then please let me know. * I will allow people to add comments and rate any articles too.
[I may even write ‘A brief history of RHP’ in time for our 2nd birthday]

* Come on Dave, you must have a million articles in your heard. You could then reference them when tutoring your students.

I actually have one that I wrote that won "Question of the Month" in Larry Evans column in ChessLife magazine from quite a few years ago that everyone might enjoy.
Thanks for thinking of me Russ!!

I know newbies can't contribute to the history aspect(or can they?)
You would think, however, that in a vast membership of over 30,000 people (we) would look for input from all the players.

They just have to be the sort of people that bother to check out the forums or announcements.

I can read.
I can also read between the lines.
It is not the words, but the drift.

What in the hell is that all about??
He asked me for some contributions just like he asked everyone else...but Russ knows I have been to many tourneys and seen alot of stuff and shared alot of things with you all.
Why you are having an attitude is beyond me..but it is uncalled for.

I hope you are not implying anything towards me in this aspect...we don't need to go down this road again.
Dave
I know you don't want to go down that road again for obvious reasons.
When you write about me,please tell them it was caused by P.M.S.
It seems people only want to know your side.

Even if private, I hope we can all read it. This has nothing to do with Dave and Linda, but their discourse reminded me of this video with Robert Bly and Deborah Tanner dialoging about the nature of expectations between men and women in how they communicate. Has anyone seen it or care to comment? He makes some blistering and forboding insights about the problems that modern man has today- not with women though it often comes out that way, but rather with the lack of rituals that bring us into healthy and mature manhood. We are, he says, cursed by a lack of available and mature fatherhood, and as a result take on the shame of the fathers. Kirk, open to discussion.

We are going to look upon this as one thing...someone trying their damndest to pick a fight...that is all it is. And guess what Linda and Tony...fight all you want to...scream at the mirror if it gets you your jollies..I am not enetering into it.
I came back to play here and help people just like I always have...as for the other things that have happened...some of them sure I am not proud of..others I stood up for what I believe in.
But to sit here and say that this whole thing will be one sided and I wil be the only person who wll contribute is absoluckingflutely ludicrous.
Get a grip..go kick some puppies or something to get it out of your system...but don't come banging on my door...I already gave my time to pathetic woes of injustice and feel not the need to do anymore.

Originally posted by kirksey957Are you talking about 'Iron John'? That's a great work by Bly. I'd also recommend a series of spoken work performances he's done, they are readings of the poetry of Kabir, a saint of the bhakti tradition, similar to Rumi in content. I think they are put out by Audio Books. There's also a colloection called Morning Poems (I think), that is exceptional.

Originally posted by Alley CrimeNo, not elitist, I just knew that Dave was probably most likely to contribute. This is open to anyone, and I will publish stuff unedited (within reason) - and then let the masses decide. ("Rate how useful this article was to you from 1 to5"😉. Using this kind of mechanism, there is no bias towards anyone’s efforts.

Anyway, this could all be academic, as I have had no notice of submissions, with the exception of Dave's.
