Anyone ever bought anything from a TV ad? I like to cook and I bought a set of kitchen knives a while back that looked suh-wheet... they turned out to be total crap... obviously some things are too good to be true. A friend just bought a 'Solar Powered Car Fan' off the TV and what a load that was... the look on his face as the fan lethargically spun in his car window was priceless... apparently the aerodynamic properties of the fan were acceptable as he got good distance on it when he tossed it across the parking lot a few days later.

Have you ever bought anything worthwhile from TV? Ever gotten badly screwed?

I haven't bought anything myself, but a friend I have bought some "Flying Lures". He gave me a few, and they were actually better than half-decent, at catching certain species of fish.

Magic mop, the life of King Pele on DVD, imitation ivory dolls for
collectors, three different types of ABS exercisers, and the Ginsu 3000
knives.

And I'm still feeling lonely. I don't end up being happy as people look
in the informercial 😠

Oh. And my mother bought some sort of excersize torturing device which would fit nicely under the bed. It still fits there and, to my knowledge, that's all it ever does.

I bought my kids two orders of FLOAM. I can tell you for two whole hours they where quite entertained. While they customized, all their toys with it. It is as if I went out and bought 30 new toys. Good as seen on TV buy.

Hey, what is that FLOAM thing? Isn't it plain play-doh?

It a lot better then play-doh, same basic type of item though. It can be molded to any size, shape or object then you let, it hardens, and it stays. Comes in four colors. My boys mostly decorated cars, trucks, and action figures with it. My daughter made herself a pink head, yellow body, green legged doll. It has been 2 months, she still has the doll, and my boys still have 75% of the cars and trucks looking very colorful.

I think you're buying the wrong products to put a smile on your face.... I recommend 'Girls Gone Wild' DVD's to correct that problem... everyone loves a little spring break, naughty co-ed flesh... might want to invest in some TV ad lotion as well.

Oh, that sounds pretty appealing.

Already thinking about X-mas presents for
my hoard of nieces, lol. Expensive?

I will have to find the recipe (might take a day or two) but it think the total was around $50.00 American after shipping and handling.

I bought the Magic Bullet Blender and the "Smart Spin" kitchen storage system. Quite pleased with both.

Also considering some items from this site: http://www.bumfights.com/

I'm considering getting into that business with a product that cleans 0.1% of household germs.

It seems like a great market. Everyone else is offereing products to clean the other 99.9%.
