I think "lazer" sounds more futuristic thats why they do it. and as stated earlier there aren't enough words with the letter "z" in 'em

I don't know if I'm capable to answer this one as I'm kinda biased. But I would have to go with Tori Amos. Avril is talented sure but talent don't mean good.
