General

After losing my glasses after a drunken night out 6 years ago, I suufered the penalty of having to pay another eye test, new frames and new lenses. Total cost of a night on the plonk? £110, plus beer money.
Anyway, recently, having paid the quartely bills which all come at the same time, I got back on top of things financially, only for my glasses to disintegrate of their own volition. Marvellous. Another months beer tokens down the swanny.

Ahhhhh but not so. I read in the newspaper of this marvellous online company. They are cheap as chips. Cheap as chips I tell you. All you do is get your current prescription from your optician. You are entitled to have this by law. Then you just send it to them online and they send your new shiny giggs back, complete with lenses. FANTASTICOOOO!

"Well tell us the link then you waffling T**T", I hear you say.
"Ooooooh, go on then" I smile back, slightly boss eyed. 😵

I gave up on gems last year after years of dropping them, sitting on them, having them knocked off, &c. on nights out.
You just have to take them out whilst drunk.

Nice idea, but how do you know if they suit you until you try them on?

It's not like they're ACTUALLY going to arrive, now is it?

you could pluck one eye out. that would help you concentrate more with the remaining eye.

You could just cut out the bottom of two empty glass beer bottles (using a blow torch) and fasten them together with wire.
Voila, perfect for those long nights out drinking.

😵😞😵😞

Well glasses arrived. I ordered them on the 20th October and received them today. Looking through them seemed a bit strange at first, but from past experience, an updated prescription always looks a bit odd at first. (my last glasses lenses were fitted 4 years ago, so there has been a fair change in my eyes.).
I have had them on for an hour now and all seems well. I have gotten used to them.
Oh and everything looks crystal clear through them.
Job's a goodun. 🙂

Glasses were in the news when some yobs took someone elses's and put the video on the net. Unfortunately the coppers are online too and the yobs were arrested. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-2424920,00.html
