Thanks Russ. Nothing like not having something to help you understand how much you enjoy it! The lack of forums forced me to play more chess over the last few days, and as many of you know, playing chess is bad for my rating! Lets avoid this in the future! 😉

As someone who doesn't really understand what all the hoo-ha was about, it seems a shame that the Forums were denied to the many, presumably because of the actions of a few.

The point has been made elsewhere that the Forums are the heart of this chess community. Was turning them off *really* the only option?

I think the new Forum is a great idea - I for one was fairly fed up with reading the same old same old in the general Forum pages.

Really well done, Russ 🙂. Building self-reference into the system was the clever thing to do.

I didn't realize how much I would miss the forums until they were gone. I mean, I read most of the threads even though I don't post in all the ones that I read...

Now we get the old funny crap that falls under the General Category...great!
