I don't think there really is a such thing as GOOD music. The concept seems subjective. I just listen to whatever sounds good to me. I don't really care about the artistic merits or the commercial possibilities.
(I also didn't really read the thread title---my bad. I thought it said bands you love that the world hates.)

the newest upcoming band which is loved in my area is the "Arctic Monkeys" they are all just 19 teen and i think they are going 2 be one of the best Bands in the world.
