Congratulations to Barry Sanders inducted to the hall of fame today. I am convinced that not only would he be the N.F.L's all time leading rusher with about 25,000+ yards(second would be 17,355 Emmitt), but he'd also probably extend his N.F.L. record to 15 CONSECUTIVE seasons of rushing over 1,000 yards.. Out of the 10 seasons he played with a poor offensive line, he led his entire conference(N.F.C.) in rushing for 5 seasons. He also had one of the highest averages per carry I've ever seen(5.0). He also owns or has tied about half of the college records(24).

He was simply the best and most exciting to watch!

Barry Sanders was the best, shame he retired so early. I think his son starts college football this year.

In the NBA, it would be Paul Westphal. His career stats are not super gaudy. But he was one of those clutch players who never got rattled. He kept his head, even in an enemy arena with the game on the line.

Barry is like 32 or soemthing ? He got a kid at 14 ?

Barry is a legend. The reason I started watching NFL. The man is just a shining example of freaking brilliance ! Everytime he scored a TD, no spike, just being cool! Best runner of all time, and probably most modest. The kinda guy I would have loved to introduce my kids to, a fantastic role model.

Saw him at the Pistons Lakers game earlier this year on TV.

Yes I agree Barry sanders was the best. Far better than Emitt Smith. The cowboys line was all pro you could drive a truck through that line. Barry just had pure raw talent. As for the greatest play in football history I will go with Doug Fluties hail mary pass in 1980 allowing Boston College to win the national championship. Lets not forget about the other men who were inducted. Elway in paticular. How many superbowl did the broncos appear in, 6? 7? I know they won 2 when terrel davis was on the team. Elway was unstopable. Can you imagine if he chose to go to the balitimore colts in 1984 rather than the broncos? washington vs denver preseason who is your favorite. I am going with denver in the tradition of elway getting inducted the first ever bronco in the hall.

Yes Barry was an incredible Running Back, but he was only 1 of 4 great running backs that ended there carreer's before the age of 32. Imagine how much we'd be debating who was better if they completed there carreer instead of retiring early like Barry
