Here's some simple maths for you, or math if you prefer it, with 11x multiplication. A trick.
We all know 11x3= 33....... we just double the x11 digit, i.e. add it to itself.
Up to ten! E.g. 11x7=77
However, going in to tens, thousands, billions is easy!!!
27x11=?
Can you do it simply?
Yes you can!
27........ take it and make a space in the middle... 2 7
Now add the 2 digits together, i.e. 2 + 7 = 9
Put the 9 in the space you created, i.e. 2 9 7
27x11= 297!
It works for hundreds, if you can use your addition.
264x11........?
write the first number 2
2, then add 2 + 6 (the next number)=8
---> 28
then add the next 2 digits.... 6 and 4..... = 10.......
addition comes in here, as we can't write 10, so we write 0 and carry the 1, hence 8 becomes 9.
290.
then we write the last number = 4
2904.
264x11=2904 ! fact!
You can do it for all numbers, writing the first digit and then following on with the addition of the first and second digit, the second and third, and so on.
Example: four million, three hundred and seventy thousand four hundred and thirty six mulitiplied ( times in English ) by eleven = ?
4,370,436
write 4, next 4+3=7
47
3+7=10
write zero and carry the 1 so 7 becomes 8.
480 then plus the next 2 digits.....which are 7 + 0 = 7
4807
0+4 = 4
48074.... and so on
4+3 = 7
480747
3+6=9
4807479 and then add the last digit 6
48,074,796
four million, three hundred and seventy thousand four hundred and thirty six mulitiplied ( times in English ) by eleven = 4,370,436 x 11
= 48,074,796

Number 11 has another little trick. Take any number, for example 23078162.
Add the alternate digits: 2+0+8+6 = 16
Add the other alternate digits: 3+7+1+2 = 13
Difference = 3
Therefore the 23078162 is not exactly divisible by 11.
In the case of 23678578 the difference is 0 therefore 23678578 is exactly divisible by 11. The only other acceptable differences are 11 and any multiple of 11.

Here's another way of multiplying by 11 (same trick, it's called the Trachtenberg method):
Multiplying by 11
Rule: Add the digit to its neighbor. (By "neighbor" we mean the digit on the right.)
Example: 3,425 times 11
= 3 3+4 4+2 2+5 5
= 37,675
