Definitely any Clint Eastwood movie, even though they're all basically the same. They just have great titles. "For A Few Dollars More". "A Fistful of Dollars". They're just cool to say.
I'm thinking Outlaw Josey Whales... but I'd need to review them all to know for sure. Been years since I saw any of them.

Monte Walsh

The version that starred Lee Marvin. It's been remade with Tom Selleck, but I haven't seen that one yet.

You guys are all nuts, or maybe you just haven't been exposed to truly great movies... 🙂

The best western is definitely The Magnificent Seven. It helped define the genre, even though it was loosely based on The Seven Samurai.

Yes, I have both. The Tom Selleck version is very good also. Lots of beautiful scenery in the Selleck version.

It's a difficult call but I vote for "The Long Riders".

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance

Red River

Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

High Plains Drifter

Unforgiven

That weird Jarmusch one ("Dead Man"😉 is probably worth seeing too.

Paint Your Wagon!
This is a musical, but after watching it several times, it still is funnier than hell. Not exactly cowboys, just a bunch of gold miners, but this is the only movie I have ever seen with Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood singing....

"Shane", 1953, with Allan Ladd, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, and Jack Palance. Classic western.

In order of greatness (and I can only take Westerns with a pinch of salt, mind you):

1. The good, the bad and the ugly (Clint)
2. Little big man (Dustin Hoffman)
3. Maverik (Gibson, Foster and Garner)

The Long riders is a great flick, it had old timey music in it made by some friends so maybe I am prejudiced!
I think its Aussie but the movie 'The man from Snowy river' was a great little flick.
