You have to go a long way to beat The Magnificent Seven.... The Outlaw Josey Wales is another good one...

Tombstone rates high, as does Wyatt Earp, Unforgiven (and all the other Clint Eastwood movies) but Lonesome Dove takes the Oscar.

Sheriff Amos Wall of Saguache: Alferd Packer, any last words?
Alferd Packer: Yes.
Sheriff Amos Wall of Saguache: [sighs] Oh well, make it quick.
Alferd Packer: Probably the most important thing is that when things get really bad and the world looks its darkest, you just have to throw up your hands and say "Well, alright!" cause it's probably gonna get a whole hell of a lot worse.
Sheriff Amos Wall of Saguache: Jolly good! Now let's get on with the hanging!

Ha! Last Wednesday, Lou Diamond Philips made a special guest apperance at the Lazy Flamingo, a bar I play at in Hamilton, Ontario (of course, I play on Thursdays...nice timing, Lou Diamond 😠). He was shooting a movie down the street. Anyways, he gets up and sings "Stormy Monday" with the house band, and refuses to play "La Bamba"! Then he made out with the skankiest waitress in Southern Ontario, who happens to be a 5'1" drunken hellion with negligible charms. True story.

Monte Walsh.

The Tom Selleck remake was OK, but the Lee Marvin original was better in my opinion.
