"24" -- Watched a few episodes in a row and therefore decided to stop watching it.
Original Twin Peaks -- Not sure this counts.
"Top Chef" (2007) -- Was up all night in a hospital after a "procedure" and watched about 10 episodes in a row, ending in the season finale. I could hear the nurses just outside the door wondering, "What is he watching?" π
@fmf saidAh now, that's a much better question. Old-school, wait-a-week style? Succession series 3, Picard series 2, Billions series 6.
A better question might be, with perhaps most viewing now conducted in a binged-up way, what was the last thing you watched in an old-school wait-a-week-for-the-next-episode way?
@fmf saidI am 43 and I have never done that.

I'm only telling you this because it surprised me that I never had a show that I had to watch π€
I don't watch TV and the few times I did I would change the channel constantly.
My ex's always hated that
@beowulf saidI haven't watched TV for about 15 years. Everything I watch is downloaded. The reason for old-school, wait-a-week style consumption is because some series get broadcast once a week, people rip each episode, and share it on torrents. They usually appear about an hour after they were aired. If video files of a series already exist, one need not a wait a week between each one.

@moonbus saidI hate that show. The autistic kid is an a-hole. I realize his character lacks social awareness or empathy but that just results in everyone's lives being made miserable but someone literally incapable of caring He has occasional moments of insight that he's being jerk followed by "heartwarming" scenes of him trying to do the right thing but it makes the sure irritating to watch.
“Atypical” about an autistic HS boy, but his sister, Kasey, steals the show.
I worked with autistic people for years. They're not like that. Not that I care about realism in fiction but I at least don't want to utterly loathe the main character that we're supposed to root for.
I watched this Korean drama called "The Familiar Wife". It's about a man in a bad marriage who gets a second chance at being with the girl who got away when he was in college.
This hokey premise is actually very well executed. And while I started to seriously dislike the main character his transformation over the show as he realizes how he was the problem all along is well done. There are some soap-opera-ish moment but they're few. It's a subtitled show but well worth it with smart writing, great acting lovable characters.
@fmf saidwhen season 4 or 5 of the game of thrones came along and the earthers were all agog and i was too cheap to pay for yet another streaming service i threw three coins for the i-ching and the prophecy revealed indicated i was to watch the show

i began bingeing and was intrigued but then came to the point where i was caught up and was forced to wait a week for the next episode
this dampened my enthusiasm greatly so for a year i put the thing down entirely until i could binge again and get "all caught up"
there was going to be a point to this but i've gone past that into reverie and shall now deny you the experience of my experiences
