It really isn't nice to ask people when they started wearing glasses. If they want to tell you they probably would.

I wear them only for close up stuff and not all the time. I don't need them for driving. I had cataracts removed and replaced by lenses. I hate night driving now, where I use to love it it as the glare from the lights bother my eyes, if I must drive at night I wear sunglasses and not a cheap pair either which does cut down on the glare considerably.
