Did anyone ever play any games by the Bitmap Brothers? They were amazing. Why can't more games be made like them?

I remember Speedball. Quality game.

Best old stylee game I played (well, it's not that old at all really) was Sensible Soccer. Tiny little blobs running around, simple dimple graphics, but amazingly good gameplay. Short crisp pretty polygon passing movements, trying to score from the half way line (only when the pitch was frozen) by bouncing the ball in front of the keeper and watching it sail over his head.

Great game.

Well, you are talking to a video game spod here, and without hitting the Internet for answers, I reckon I can give you them all. (in order of release)

Xenon
Speedball
Xenon II
Speedball II
Magic Pockets
Gift From the Gods
Z
Z2

Don't ask me why, I can't even remember anything about what I did yesterday, but for some bizarre reason I can remember everything about every video game released (almost) until about 1990. Might be some use to me someday I suppose. 😳

Just remembered another called 'Chaos Engine' or something which fits before Z.

I had a massive amount of respect for the graphic artists at the Bitmap Brothers - I used to marvel at the sprites on my Amiga.

Why I'm posting this, I don't know. Back from the pub and its way past my bed time!
