Biz is brisk these days on the Red Hot Pawn General Forum. Pages one through six required 80 days (June 20 to September 8) or an average of 13-14 days per page to fill. Current page one took only 3 days, Sept 5 to 8, to fill. Reports of the rhp gf's untimely death were obviously greatly exaggerated. We all have much to be thankful for in having become part of this 1st class chess site.

Umbrella sales, housing materials, utility work and food sales rocket on the east coast of the USA while Hurricane Irene wreaks havoc. Homes were flooded and destroyed. Power lines toppled leaving many without power for a week or more while stores of food spoil in homes and markets up and down the coast.
