I heard a pretty good (recently done) cover of Public Enemy's, "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos" this afternoon on BBC radio. At least I think it might have been good. I only heard part of it. Does anyone know what the name of the band might be? I tried finding it on google, but didn't have much luck.

Originally posted by rbmorristricky did a cover of it years ago, off the album 'maxinquaye'. it was simply called 'black steel', and featured martine topley-bird on vocals. any help?

edit: you say it was a recently done version - the tricky one is about 10 years old now...

Originally posted by EdwardipovThe Tricky version is great. I don't think that was what I heard on the radio though, unless it was a remake or something. Tough tune to cover. I can see how RATM could do a decent job with it, but very few other bands could pull it off.
listen to the tricky version and you'll find out π
