I read somewhere that the most preferred colour for males is pink, and for females is blue. Maybe we just choose not to like the colour we were expected to dress in as babies.
I use the default chess board settings, but why do I feel so ashamed to admit it??

@drewnogal saidThe colour must depend on the device. On my backlit tablet it's much like a real-life board with a Staunton set. I suspect I'd go for something different if I was using a laptop. It's not helping my rating at all. π€
Yours reminds me of a medieval courtyard; sombre and dark whereas mine is more like gingham kitchen curtains; practical and fresh aiding clear thinking π
