I thought I was the only one who played Dark Tower. 😀 That was a fun game and if I could find it again, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

There's nothing like Christmas shopping for a five-year-old nephew to bring on the nostalgia. Monster that he is, the boy is my god-son, so I figured I better come up with something. I always liked Avalon Hill board games and I still have a good many of them, even as I lack an opponent. 😞
My favorite board game is one that non-wargamers would like called Rail Baron. I do still play that regularly. 🙂
P.S. Please make it a point to get in touch with 'Pinkfloyd'. Believe he and his brother are still involved with Avalon Hill, annual events, etc.
I was going to say Sorry! and Parchesi, but a couple of you beat me to it. For a five year old, Candyland and Uncle Wiggley are old favorites. Connect Four is not a board game but it is fun. Card games like Slap Jack and Old Maid are great. There are different kinds of Memory games of matching tiles or cards. Chinese checkers, Jacks, Go Fish.

Anyone remember a board game that came out in the late 80's where you bought and sold railroad lines? B&O, ATSF, etc... something like risk.. maybe..
I remember it being a lot of fun.
