Milton Bradley doesn't make the game anymore, Mimor. But, apparently, there's a healthy market for used versions on eBay. Looking at some of the prices it's gone for, I guess we aren't the only ones who enjoyed the game.

I always liked Avalon Hill board games and I still have a good many of them, even as I lack an opponent. 😞

My favorite board game is one that non-wargamers would like called Rail Baron. I do still play that regularly. 🙂

Sorry! is another good board game for that age group. I still play Sorry regularly with my 7 and 9 year old kids, as well as Uno.

Parcheesi was our first totally enjoyable pre-school competitive board game. In some respects finally see a few remote similarities to chess.

Avalon Hill... I'm with you, Badwater. Played both 'Confederate War' and 'Battle of The Bulge' until the flimsy tile squares were worn out.

P.S. Please make it a point to get in touch with 'Pinkfloyd'. Believe he and his brother are still involved with Avalon Hill, annual events, etc.

I was going to say Sorry! and Parchesi, but a couple of you beat me to it. For a five year old, Candyland and Uncle Wiggley are old favorites. Connect Four is not a board game but it is fun. Card games like Slap Jack and Old Maid are great. There are different kinds of Memory games of matching tiles or cards. Chinese checkers, Jacks, Go Fish.

Anyone remember a board game that came out in the late 80's where you bought and sold railroad lines? B&O, ATSF, etc... something like risk.. maybe..

I remember it being a lot of fun.

There was something like that which had the word "Tycoon" in the title, i think. Ring any bells?
