To my once upon a time silver haired chess mentor (colleague and close friend of E.M. Reubens) so very long ago, Mr. Edmund Brown of MIT and his poet wife, a nostalgic 'thanks again' for those many evenings by the open hearth of their enormous fireplace built of rough hewn fieldstones. Note: Still hear his sonorous voice speaking softly and smile as I remember some of his quips, one of which was... "When I win with white, I win because I'm white; when I win with black, I win because I'm Brown."
