I am posting this here because it is not a debate - I am not FOR or AGAINST. However, I would really like to know from some practitioners of this art (assuming there are such at RHP) why they would mutilate their bodies.
Clearly, I cannot walk up to someone on the street who has a stud through their lip, or, worse, their TONGUE!!😛😛 and ask why they would hurt and punish themselves like this - I'd likely end up with a thick lip myself! Hence this post.
Earrings, even nose rings, I can understand. Enhancing beauty, displaying your wealth, etc. But relatively worthless stuff that must really hurt like a pin through your lip and eyelids??? Can someone explain this practice to me?🙄

I guess piercings, tattoos and everything is just a way of indivdualising one's self, showing one's status and/or making one's self more attractive.
I have heard though that certain piercings enhance certain activities.
