Boss Imprisoned by Employee

Yesterday ,I went to work,to cut and grind meat for the drive in resturant I work at.I finished my job,and it appeared that the bosses had left to go to lunch,Being a good employee,I decided to lock up the place,bar and paddlock the doors to the basement,then set the alarm.
Little did I know that my boss lady was still in the basement!I had locked and barred the door to the basement.After about 5 mins.the alarm went off,summoning the police,who contacted the owners aka her son.The son freed his mom. This happened about 11AM.I got a weird feeling about 1:30 PM and decided to go to the drive in.There were people working outside on our sign,all laughing at me when I walked up.They told me what I had done.I had realised something was wrong while at home,promting me to check back at work.I tried to call her to say I was sorry and also an idiot,but her and her husband(another owner) left town for the holiday.
I guess i'll get my ass chewed out Wednesday. 😞

Don't worry about it buddy. I think she'll be a better person for it.

When I saw the boss lady today ,I said I was terribly sorry about what happened,and that I was an idiot.She said she was sorry it happened too and that people don't need a license to do dumb things ,and all people make stupid mistakes.I was surprised that she was so cool about it.The other owner(her husband) could hardly keep a straight face while we discussed it.
It is good to work in a place where you can be human and flub up something,and we just move on. 🙂
