With CC seemingly becoming more lights-out as he goes.

And talk about clutch hitting! Two homers from hall in the 9th and 10th innings (to different games), and Braun smashing a 2-run game winner last night. Wow!

It used to be the Brewers were spoilers to the Astros. Now the tide is turning I suppose.

Their season record vs each other is 5-5. They're not quite spoilers yet.

Well when you are 5-5 against the last place team, and you think that is ok, you are pretty confident.

And they're 4-5 against the Reds, so what? 5-5 doesn't mean that the Astros are 'spoilers', that's all I was saying. I don't think there can even be spoilers really at this point in the season. Way too many games left.

6-5 in favor of the Brewers now. Also tied with the Cubs for first place.

6-6 now. It could come back to haunt the Brew crew.

Possibly. It mostly depends on how we play against the Cubs, now. We have CC and Sheets going the next two games, so we're in decent shape to at least split the series.

Either way, I think the Crew will probably win the Wild Card, if not the division.

When you said the Brewers were in decent shape for a series split with the Cubs, I assumed you meant because Sheets and Sabbathia would win their games. Or were you assuming they would lose those games and win the last two?

You assumes correctly, just as I'm guessing almost everyone else who looked at the series would have thought. At the very least, Sabathia should have won. He is way better than Ted Lilly. But, I'm not surprised the Brewers cracked. It's what they do.

They won the two before, so technically we're keeping even with the Cubbies after our series with them. Not looking very impressive. Atlanta sucks 😛.

I think Sheets' problem is that he's not used to pitching after the all star break. He's usually gone for the season by this point. 😉
