Do any players here also play bridge? My gaming interests
modulate between chess, bridge, and other games. I'm
thinking of getting back into bridge after a few months
away from it and I'm looking for an online partner. I play
at OKBridge if anyone wants to meet up for a match.

Dang! I play Mahjong... so we must be 2 separate kind of Grannys. Not sure I got time to learn Bridge... I play Cribbage and Hi-Lo-Jack... as well as Poker and Gin.

The crazy thing is, he's not a terrible chess player. We actually just
had a decent game. So even though from reading his posts I would have to
conclude that wouldn't even be able to learn the rules of bridge, much
less the strategy needed to even be competent, he might be a fine player.

I used to play bridge almost daily many years ago. I am also a multi-game type. Amongst other, I have played (at moderate to reasonable level, nothing more): dam game, GO, stratego, Poker, backgammon. But all that is years ago.

Hey Cribs,
I've never played online but stopped playing bridge a few years back as work meant maintaining a regular partnership was impossible.
Have a feeling my concentration would be very bad (I am rubbish at online blitz for same reason), but used to be a solid duplicate tournament player (Acol rather than Standard American - I'd make a guess you'd prefer some type of strong club though).
Let me know if you don't mind carrying me, and I'd be happy to hook up for a few games towards end of this month or end of August.

I play Standard American. I don't know the first thing about ACOL,
or strong club systems. Nor am I a strong club player. I think my
masterpoints are somewhere below 5. I bet we could at least hold
our own against the Yahoo robots.
