Bring back the 'old' forum

We need to have the old forum style back.

There were several different pages that were supposed to be
dedicated to specific topics, including general chess, specific chess-
related problems, site suggestions, etc.

If they brought that back, they could add a page where those who are
interested could discuss their love life, or whatever other fantasy they
wish to bring up.

I thought the bed... sorry, the chatroom was the place to be for that
stuff.

I guess we need to suggest this to Chris or Russ. Of course they're
pretty smart, so probably have quit looking at the forum entirely.

I agree that having only one all purpose forum is a bad thing but
having too many sub-divisions was also not a good idea. Two
sections - Chess and non-chess or something like that should suffice.
But then you get all those posts which are just saying 'I'm the best
player here' or 'xxxxx is cheating' etc etc which relate to chess but just
clutter up the forum - so you have a forum for those as well. Before
you know it you're back to where you started!

Right you are! Why not leave the 'stupid posts' for the chatroom?
Lately I've noticed that the Forum has become again more lively, from
a quantative point of view. When the chatroom was started, it was very
calm at the Forum, but now... What is going on in the chatroom then?

you should go and find out. when i was there, we talked a lot about chess ..... amongst other things. Why not in the forum?

Now that we have moderators, this may not become a problem as it
did before. (We do have moderators, don't we??)
