When ever the cleaners at work tidy up around my desk they always manage to knock my keyboard so that one of the little legs that tilt it up collapses. This means every Tuesday morning I sit down at my desk with a slanted keyboard and have to flip that little leg back out!

I cactually tried to make Tartarre sauce last night and totally Messed it up by using olive oil instead of sunflower oil. The recipe also asked for fresh Taragon, which i couldn't get 🙁

I'll try again tonight, even though the fish was eaten last night .

How the hell did you discover that? I can't envisage a situation where you'd have easily available tartar sauce while munching on a brownie and then think:

"You know what this Brownie needs? A thick white sauce made from mayonnaise and finely chopped pickled cucumber, capers and onions!"

I'm at odds with my tartar sauce recipe, mine has the mayonnaise as being - 1 egg, 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp mustard powder, 1./2 pint oil, and juice of 1 lemon. I've seen other recipies using just egg yolks, and with vinegar....should i add vinegar ?

edit...i'm quoting you like you know, sorry mate. open question.

Next time you leave when the cleaners are due, fold up both the legs just to see if they fold one back out.

Stage four complete.....if i had my modem, i'd be able to post drunk again (waiting for "you mean you aren't", i bet that'd get recc'd at least once 😛).

I feel like mitching work, just so i can pick up my modem.

They haven't given you a router? What crappy, back-water ISP did you sign up to?

Better go see a doctor.

However, do you have a wireless network card in your computer?

No. I can still plug it in at the back, the wireless router is so other people in the house can use it, the router will be beside my PC.

Do you know what this really means!!

Dear Customer,

We have your money yee haa. We have contacted our contact in Beijing to get their contact to start processing your order.

Your modem will be delivered to our contact in Beijing by the contacts contact in Beijing within the next few days. Our contact in Beiging will then contact us and arrange for the item to be shipped from Beijng to the UK which should take between 10-21 days depending on the weather, leaves on the line, postal strikes etc etc.

Once the item is received in our office we will contact our UK contact, i.e the courier company, who will then collect the modem from our stores (normally this takes 3-5 days) and will then deliver your modem to you.

We can guarantee that even if you are in you will mysteriously receive a card stating that our courier attempted delivery at 11.45 am but no-one was available to take delivery. Our couriers are highly skilled people who know how to deliver these calling cards but not how to deliver goods.

You will be asked to call a number to re-attempt delivery. Please do so within 10 working days as after this the parcel will be returned to us and you will need to repay the courier charge for another delivery.

You will be asked for all sorts of personal info. This is just because the couriers are nosy buggers and not because they need the information to allow delivery of your package.

Regrettably the courier who initially attempted delivery will be on holiday for 3 weeks and has left the van at the long stay airport car park. We cannot access your package until he returns from holiday (remember the 10 day rule and start crying)

Your problems are only just starting........
